Bill Lowes (South Ward Councillor)
I am proud to be a ‘Dorset’ man. Born in Spetisbury in 1941, I was educated at Bournemouth Grammar School and from there joined the Police Service. I retired as an Inspector after twenty five years service and entered retailing followed by a spell as a relief licencee before retraining as an Independent Financial Adviser. I finally retired shortly after moving to Charminster in December 2008. My hobbies and interests include, current affairs, finance, sport, classical music, reading and growing fruit and vegetables.
I believe we live in the most unspoilt County of England and Charminster reflects all that is the best of peace and tranquility in the Countryside with friendly helpful goodhearted people.
My aim on the Council is to ensure and promote these benefits for the enjoyment of all its residents.
