How many Councillors are there for Charminster Parish?

North Ward (Charlton Down) x 5 South Ward (Charminster) x 7

Contested or uncontested elections what you need to know:

Uncontested Elections: If the number of nominated candidates standing for election is insufficient to fill the vacancies on the Council, those candidates are automatically elected as Councillors.

Contested Elections: Having a contested election allows your Parish to seek a diverse and dynamic Council that represents the wishes of residents as closely as possible. Even better, contested elections engage the public more.

So, it’s important that we have candidates come forward to fill these seats.
